Maxwell Graduate Student

Major/Minor: Executive Masters in Public Administration (eMPA)

Describe your Syracuse experience in a couple of sentences.
Syracuse University is an incredible University. To be a part of the #1 public affairs program and a member of the staff has been an incredible opportunity to dive into the University experience.

How is Maxwell preparing you for your future career?
The Maxwell faculty are all so supportive and challenge classes to think outside of the box and use data and research to create better structures. The eMPA program is teaching me to lead, to analyze and to change the world around me.

What are your plans after graduation?
Professionally, I plan to stay in the nonprofit field but with the ability to view it from a new lens. Personally, I plan to take my learnings and apply them to my rural community and fire department.

What has been your favorite Syracuse experience so far?
My favorite Maxwell experience is being integrated into the alumni events and networking. There are so many influential alumni and students in the eMPA program and having opportunities to engage with them and see the impact they are making adds value to the degree I am completing.

Why do you think giving is important?
Giving to your University is a gift for future education. It is a gift to afford others opportunities to better themselves and our world. Giving to the Maxwell School supports the growth of leaders and good citizens.

What does it mean to you to be Orange?
Being Orange is engaging with a network of people who strive to make the world a better, brighter and more beautiful place. Being Orange is a forever commitment to the progress of education, transformative experiences, and pride in Orange.
