Maxwell Professor Jamie Winders Speaks on Immigration Research and Rhetoric at Atlanta Hill Society Event

Syracuse University alumni gathered in Atlanta, GA at the Capital City Club Downtown on October 11, 2018 for an exclusive Hill Society event, hosted by Rey Pascual ’85, Vice Chair of the Syracuse University Board of Trustees and Co-Chair of the Atlanta Regional Council.

Moderated by David Van Slyke, Dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, the event featured Maxwell faculty member and head of the Geography Department, Jamie Winders. Professor Winders spoke on the topic of immigration, providing a wealth of data and summarizing research on both an international front and within the United States and Georgia. He challenged attendees to look beyond rhetoric in thinking about this complex issue.
