Say Yes to Education
Say Yes to Education is a landmark collaboration–one that brings Syracuse University together with dozens of governmental, philanthropic and corporate organizations to ensure that all Syracuse public school students can afford, and succeed in, college.
Syracuse is the first community in the United States to implement the proven Say Yes program district-wide. Students who attend 10th, 11th, and 12th grade and graduate from a Syracuse City School District high school are eligible for college tuition assistance at more than 100 Say Yes compact colleges in New York state.
But Say Yes is far more than just college scholarships. The program provides essential services to students and their families throughout, starting in kindergarten, and continuing through high school graduation. Say Yes strives to eliminate the barriers that keep so many urban students from higher education and create opportunities for their success.
Gifts made to the Say Yes to Education Fund* by the end of 2013 are matched dollar-for-dollar by private donations, up to $1 million. The fund provides full-tuition scholarships to Syracuse City School District graduates who attend SUNY/CUNY colleges and universities.
