LGBT Resource Center
For many students, going to college is a chance to explore academic interests, build social networks, and develop their sense of self. Nationwide, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people are disproportionately denied these opportunities. Syracuse University is committed to bucking this trend.
Established in 2001, the LGBT Resource Center strives to create a campus that understands, accepts, supports, and empowers LGBT students as they pursue their degrees.
Donated funds support programs and events including biweekly discussion groups, Coming Out Month, Trans Day of Liberation, the Rainbow Banquet, and more. Donations also facilitate innovative educational opportunities, effective advocacy, and campus and community collaborations.
